“Edge Consulting was founded in 2002 in the Sauk Prairie area. We originally worked out of a duplex until we grew to the point where we needed to add staff. At that point, we purchased a building on Water Street in Prairie Du Sac for our growing company. As our growth continued we decided to redevelop our original office building and several adjacent properties into our home office. The process seemed a little daunting at the time. However, the Village of Prairie Du Sac was extremely helpful and welcoming. They guided us through the development process and even provided TIF funding where possible. Aside from just making the process easy the Village staff and Village board went out of their way to encourage the expansion of a local downtown business. The entire process was welcoming and encouraging rather than adversarial. We have continued to grow through the years and now own three separate buildings in Prairie Du Sac, including space for our climbing and drone inspection group in the Industrial Park. The Village and the entire community have always been supportive throughout our years here. We work on quite a few development projects across the upper Midwest and have found that not every community has a similar attitude toward local businesses or business expansion.”
