Join us on Saturday, May 13th, 9am to noon, for a few hours of ecological restoration work at the Hillside Prairie at the former Badger Plant, now the Sauk Prairie State Recreation Area, between Baraboo and Sauk City.
We will convene just before 9am at the main entrance to the former Badger Plant, across Highway 12 from the Citgo Station, 4 miles north of Sauk City. After we assemble, we will carpool to our work site, the Hillside Prairie on the new Sauk Prairie State Recreation Area, the only remnant of the original Sauk Prairie on Badger.
Wear layers of clothing appropriate for the weather, leather gloves, a hat and boots or shoes with good tread, as we will be on steep and uneven terrain. We will provide water and snacks.
