Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement by artists and crafts people in cities around the world to care for and feed the hungry in their communities.
How it works: professional artists, students, and businesses donate handmade bowls, and local restaurants donate food (most often soup and bread). Patrons come in, select a bowl to purchase, and fill it with soup. All proceeds benefit the food-based charity of the community. The idea is that as you empty your bowl that night, you are also filling others'.
100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Sauk Prairie Area Food Pantry!
You'll be able to peruse OVER 100 handmade bowls by ceramic artists and enthusiasts from across the state, fill one with soup, and know that your meal makes a difference for our community.
