When Rob was 19 he was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. 6 years later, in 2013, he was considered “clear” of the cancer. Unfortunately, it did not last. In November 2016 Rob was informed the cancer had reappeared in his liver and around a kidney. Three days later Robert and Caitlin flew back from Colorado to inform the family. In less than 24 hours he was hospitalized with renal failure, had undergone surgery and begun chemotherapy treatment. Caitlin made the return trip back to Colorado alone, packed up their belongings and lives and moved them back home to Wisconsin. Robert has since undergone 6 weeks of inpatient chemotherapy. He also had 2 stem cell transplants. Now he continues to have radiation to try and shrink the quickly growing tumors.
A group of Rob’s friends and family are holding a benefit with the hopes of raising money to help Rob financially as he has been out of work since Nov. 2016.
The benefit will be held on Sunday, October 15th at the Riviera Bowling Alley in Sauk City, WI. We are planning a 9 pin tap, euchre and bags tournament. (Details to be announced soon) There will be door prizes and we are going to have a silent auction.
We hope you can join us at this event, even if you can only pop in for a few minutes. Please spread the word too and invite anyone and everyone you know who would like to join us!
If you have any questions regarding a donation or the event it-self please contact Tammy Kirch at 608-850-3899 or via email at TSimpleTK@aol.com (be sure to put Rob's name in the heading so I catch it) or you can PM me through Facebook at Tammy Breiby Kirch. If you know of anyone who would like to contribute any type of donation for the door prizes, game prizes or silent auction, please let us know. Checks may be made payable to “Robert Koci Benefit Fund” and sent directly to:
