Youth Workshop: Starry Prairie Paper Murals

Join instructors Mary and Rhonda as we celebrate “Starry Prairie”, a new mural on the back of River Arts on Water Gallery. The mural, created by Sauk Prairie artists Mary Dickey and Rhonda Nass, celebrates the Great Sauk State Trail and various Wisconsin native species. Students in this class will walk a portion of the trail with Mary and Rhonda, identifying native plant species. Back in the studio, they’ll use a technique of layered paper to mimic the mural’s style. All supplies and aprons provided, please feel free to also send along a smock. Parents not required to attend.
