HOPE SP Suicide Prevention Event

Did you know that in a recent 10 year span, 751 people in Sauk, Columbia and Dane County have taken their lives by suicide? Join Hope Sauk Prairie on September 24th at Meyer Oak Grove Park in Sauk City from 1:00 - 3:00 as they take a moment to reflect on those we have lost, encourage those who may be struggling and raise awareness for the local resources that are available. There will be a month long memorial path honoring the 751 individuals, with 751 pair of shoes on display the month of September. The shoe memorial will be on display representing each life that we have lost. Statistics will be weaved through the memorial to increase awareness. Please consider donating a pair of shoes by dropping them off at the Welcome Center, 6:8 Inc., or Pathway to Wellness.
