About Us

RAI was chartered in 1998 to raise the capital to construct the River Arts Center, the performance and gallery venue for the Sauk Prairie community. Since construction was completed, RAI's role has changed to one of an arts presenter and promoter. In this role, RAI persists in bringing invigorating and provocative productions and exhibits to the community.

In order to continue reaching out to the community and increase exposure of the arts, River Arts Inc. was proud to open a retail gallery space in downtown Prairie du Sac in November 2011 featuring all local artists. River Arts on Water Gallery is a beautiful space on the banks of the Wisconsin River in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, devoted to the cultural and ecological vitality of the community, it is a retail gallery, concert, workshop and gathering place. A variety of media are represented including pottery, fine art cards, watercolors, oil paintings, sculptures, furniture, jewelry, woodcarvings, quilts, clothing, mosaics, and much more.

In 2017, RAI opened The Studio, where they now host dozens of art classes each year for all ages and experience levels.

Today, River Arts Inc. hosts a professional performing arts series, 2 professional art exhibits, 3 student art exhibits, a monthly house concert series that is free and accessible to all, artist workshops, classes, and many other educational opportunities.
